MYC Transit Custom 2012-2014 50mm Front Lowering Springs (TYPE 1)

MYC is pleased to announce our 50mm front lowering spring kit for the Transit Custom dated Sept 2012 – Sept 2014 models. (TYPE 1)

Top outer diameter edge to edge (bearing end) – 120mm
Bottom outer diameter edge to edge (spring seat end) – 180mm

Our springs are uprated 20% compared to the standard springs and will give a 50mm drop.
They are produced for all Transit Custom MK8 250 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 300 / 10 / 30 / Series from the Ford spring part number BK21-5310 which uses shock absorber BK21-18045 and top bearing BK21-18183.

The year of manufacture and model type must not solely be relied upon and it is imperative the shock absorber image above is viewed for comparison and fitment match.
Early Transit Custom models can be fitted with the later 2014-19 shock absorbers as such this spring will not fit the later shock absorbers with the Type 2 spring if these are fitted to your Transit Custom.

NOTE: If your Transit Custom has factory fitted front lowering springs or the front springs have been changed previously by another owner and is lower than the original standard ride height we use to produce our springs then these springs will not give the 50mm drop as intended.
Some vehicles are fitted with 20mm – 30mm front lowering springs (Eibach) as standard. You must take into account the difference in drop. If this is not done the vehicle will see very little drop after fitting the new springs.
This is not a defect in the springs but a calculation error.

These springs are designed in conjunction with our newly released MYC Custom Lowered Leaf Springs and Adjustable Rear Brackets.

Springs are custom made and take 1 – 2 days to manufacture depending on the supplier’s lead time.
